Before/After Care
After-school care is available for students in grades PreK-8 beginning the first full day of school. It is offered from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. On faculty in-service days when there is only a half-day of regular classes, the hours are from 12:00 noon – 6:00 p.m. The program is not available on days when there are no classes.
After-school care ends at 6:00 p.m. Children who are not picked up by this time will be charged $5.00 for each additional 15-minute period the child remains. Parents are asked to call if an emergency arises and they know they will be late.
Before School care is available for students in PreK-8th grade beginning the first full day of school. It is offered from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. The program is not available on days when there are no classes.
Registration for the After-School & Before School Program will be held on Book Day. There is a registration fee of $15.00 per child, which helps defray the costs of daily snacks and other expenses. Payment of this fee entitles a child to participate in the program throughout the 2011-2012 school year. Even if a child participates in the program only occasionally, this fee must be paid. All children who participate in the after-school or before school program must be covered by individual health insurance. Proof of this will be required. Regular rates are $4.00 per hour. Time over the hour will be rounded to the nearest half hour. If a child regularly participates in after-school care, these fees can be paid on a monthly basis.
